Advertising

Concerning a topic I recently saw in the News section coupled with the advertising I've seen on Droidz already.

Before you decide to go ahead and promote your forum on other websites I suggest you read the rules of that website first. On Droidz for example - having a link to a website in your sig is permitted, going out of your way to direct people to that link and making new topics with links to this forum is not. Of course I am not a moderator here but I feel I ought to warn you now if you persist in advertising the way you are there will be repercussions and those repercussions may be harsh.

Doing this is not allowed. Stick to the rules over there involving advertising and we'll have no problem between forums.

Of course I can't force any of you to listen to me but if you choose not to you may be faced with consequences over on Droidz. And considering the majority of the members here have come from Droidz it's fair to inform them.

Obviously this doesn't apply to you seeing as you were banned from Droidz years ago but considering with all due respect that at the end of the day this is a free forum that is probably doomed I thought it fair to warn the rest of the members on this website (the vast majority of which if not all) have come from Droidz that if they persist in advertising the way the staff/other members here have told them to they may face a ban from Droidz and then they'll have nowhere to go.

I am not forcing anyone to listen to me but you are quite correct in saying I'm warning people about behaving on other forums simply because a lot of the members here have come from other forums that are likely to last a lot longer than this one is.

Again you are missing the point. How long this forum lasts is irrelevant, the only reason I came here is to warn the many members of Droidz here that if they continue to advertise the way they are they'll have nowhere to fall back on when they're banned from Droidz too.

Lol, if you can't get by on Droidz you've got no chance on DD.

But I've got my message across here now and that's all I came to say. It's up to the members here whether they care more about being here or on Droidz so I'll leave it up to them unless anyone else is going to try to present some bullshit argument as to why I am wrong/stupid

you can't do that on droidz? i think it would be more effective because they would notice before doing something on there. you silly attention whore.
